“Algorithm’’s End” is the triumphant return album from Chinese Hackers. After 3 years of disillusion and disinterest in the vaporwave scene, Chinese Hackers has finally return with a conceptual album dealing with the role technology has in creating the dark underbelly of our modern world. The album tracks the decent of a young man into the depths of the web through the constant recommendations and prods of social media algorithms. “Algortihm’s End” features much more original instrumentation by Chinese Hackers, serving to blur the line between vaporwave’s plunderphonic origins and it’s new focus on originality.
